It helps to be well hydrated, so be sure to drink plenty of fluids the day before, the day of, and the day after your massage.

It is your massage, so if you want to talk, you can. Some people will talk in the beginning until they relax and then they are silent. The therapist will just ask a few questions in the beginning regarding the amount of pressure of the massage, and after that they will be silent unless you want conversation.

You should undress to the level you are comfortable. Some people leave on their underwear and other people disrobe completely. If removing all your clothes makes you too nervous and unable to relax, then you are not getting the optimal benefit from the session.

During your massage, only the area that is being worked on will be the area that is uncovered from the sheets and blanket, ensuring that your modesty is respected at all times.

The therapist will leave the room when you disrobe and knock on the door before entering to make sure you are covered under the blankets before entering.

Absolutely! If you'd like the therapist to focus on one specific area, just let him or her know. Keep in mind that the more time spent on this specific area, the less time spent on the other areas.

If you have a desired area on your body that you feel needs more attention, we highly reccomend booking our Signature Therapeutic Massage, as this is specifically designed to focus on specific bothersome/ troubled areas.

Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. Other people might be a little sore after their massage, especially if this it is their first massage.

It's similar to a new workout, if the muscles aren't used to being used, they often respond with some soreness. This should go away within a day or two. If it lasts longer the massage was too intense and ask for less pressure on your next massage.

After an initial relaxed feeling, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days. Since toxins are released from your soft tissues during a massage, it is recommended you drink plenty of water for several days after your massage. A hot Epsom salt bath after your massage or even between massage appointments will help with muscle soreness and releasing the build up of toxins in your muscles.

Depending upon your goals, pain level and budget, you can schedule appointments weekly, monthly or on occasion. Every person and condition is unique. We never pressure people to come more often than they want.

For acute problems, like overwork or muscle spasms, you may want to come weekly or more often until the condition is under control and then taper off to more time between massages.

For chronic problems, general massage may relax you and release the muscular tensions that make it worse. Massage won’t prevent pain from structural causes like herniated disks but when pain causes us to tense our muscles, we begin a pain-spasm cycle. Massage can help break that cycle.

While a single massage will make you feel much better, making massage a regular part of your life will maximize the benefits.
